The Lioness Chose Me

About this drama

Millie and her mother take a wrong turn and end up on an island where paying guests hunt captive animals for sport. When the guards decide she has seen too much, one of them throws her into the lion enclosure. Millie does not run. She can understand animals, and she makes the lioness a trade: she will find the cub that was taken from her. That bargain keeps her alive and starts something bigger. She frees a bear, a pack of wolves, a tiger, and whatever else is caged behind the wire. Reunited with her mother, Millie has to get the animals past the hunters, past a rescue team that is not what it claims, and out to someone who will actually arrest the man who owns the island.
