Kellan has nowhere to go, and he is not what he looks like. He is a husky shifter, and husky shifters do not get taken in by wolves if anyone can tell, so he borrows a wolf's face and asks the most powerful black wolf he can find for shelter. Torin gives him a home, and Kellan repays it the only way he can think of: he becomes Torin's wife. The arrangement is ridiculous, and it works better than either expects.
