The Mate He Rejected

About this drama

Elaine has never doubted that she and Michael are fated. He is the future alpha of Silver Blade Pack, she is the beta's daughter, and everyone says the match was settled. Instead Michael gets her sister Kathy pregnant, then rejects Elaine in front of the pack and names Kathy his luna. Her parents go quiet, her friends disappear, and the whole pack treats her as the one who misbehaved. Elaine leaves Silver Blade Pack rather than stay in it. She ends up at Crescent Moon Pack, where Alpha Darius looks at her once and says the thing she has needed to hear, that the bond was there all along, and that she was never the broken one for it. Darius does not demand anything from her. He lets her heal, and that turns out to be harder for her to accept than any of the cruelty she left behind.
