The Forest Lords I Rescued
About this drama
Five hundred characters, and the copy delivers a full supernatural court plot in compressed form. The expulsion comes first: after being framed as unstable at her grandmother's funeral and driven from home, wildlife rescuer Mia Hart retreats to a forgotten forest cottage. Note the cruelty of the frame, since instability is alleged at a funeral, the one venue where grief reads as madness. The rescue follows, and it is the story's Trojan device. The injured fox, wolf, eagle, and panther she saves reveal themselves as powerful shapeshifting lords, and the listing states their mission without softening it: each was sent to watch, deceive, or kill her. Four rescues, four betrayals in waiting. The reveal escalates to coronation. Mia awakens as the Moon-Sleep Queen, a title the copy drops without lineage or explanation, and the political map opens: she must face a ruthless regent and break the magical contracts enslaving the Four Courts. The final clause is the story's actual question, and the listing phrases it as a trilemma rather than a choice: whether love, power, and freedom can survive without a throne. The copy thus sets three goods against one institution and refuses to rank them. Thirty-one episodes, complete, 964 views. Withheld: which lord was sent for which purpose, the regent's relation to the throne, and what Moon-Sleep means. The spine is complete from expulsion to the question the ending must answer.
