One Last Run with the Mob Princess

About this drama

Jack Mercer is a retired scout driving a truck down the Dust Storm Corridor, saving for an operation that might bring his sister back from the coma she has been in since they took her kidney. Then Victor, second-in-command of a mafia gang, offers him three hundred thousand dollars to drive his granddaughter Sophie to the border, where her uncle Marcus should be waiting. Jack cares about the money. Sophie cares about being told what to do. Neither of them is ready for what the road does to a plan: a staged kidnapping they pretend to be part of, a motorcycle gang, a cliff, a black market town where the bounty on them is real. Sophie learns to shoot. Close to the border, he sees the mark on the driver's arm. He has seen that symbol before, on the men who took his sister. The pickup was never a pickup.
