The Farm Heir’s Promise
About this drama
Arthur runs merger law at the top of the Wall Street firms, and his OCD makes him build his life like a filing cabinet: the tilt of a tie, the angle of a wine glass, every detail of the wedding he plans with Ben, his carpenter partner. Engagement is harder than cohabitation. When they fly west to meet Ben's family, Arthur packs repellent and disinfectant for the farm he expects. What greets him is a father in dirty suspenders, a double-barreled shotgun, and three private helicopters with the Duke Agricultural Corporation logo. Ben is not a blue-collar worker. He is the only heir of the family that monopolises the state's agricultural supply, and he has been living in a shed while his father runs an empire. Arthur's largest client sees a second-generation heir worth signing in that rough-hewn man, and they start negotiating from opposite ends of the same table.
