The Alpha's Hidden Mate & The Heir
About this drama
Hannah's family has fallen into total decline, and the opening trade is brutal: to cover the cost of her grandfather's genetic modification treatment, she was forced to hand over her newly born Alpha wolf pup to the overpowering Moane clan, completely cut off from the child ever since. Five years later her grandfather has passed away, and she does the thing the whole story hangs on. She sprays Scent-blockers all over her body, puts on a pair of black-framed glasses, disguises herself as an ordinary human nanny, and sneaks into the Moane Manor. Inside she finds the grumpy five-year-old wolf pup Leo, and the cold-blooded prime Alpha Carter, the man who once treated her like the most precious treasure in the world but now has no memory of her at all. That last clause is the wound the show works on. The villain gets her own billing too: the hypocritical she-wolf Serena, desperate to usurp the dominant position, keeps launching what the copy calls fatal, sneak attacks. Hannah has to hide her real identity while doing everything to protect her own pup. And underneath all the scheming, the deadly, innate attraction of fated soul mates is pushing Carter's icy emotional defense to the edge of collapse. The blurb ends by promising that the bond of blood and the game of power are about to blow up at any second, so it stops right before the explosion. Forty-two episodes, and the ending isn't given. What happens to Serena, and whether Carter's memory ever returns, are both unlisted.
