Crown of the Trailer Queen

About this drama

Twenty-six characters, and the description field repeats the title exactly, Crown of the Trailer Queen. A note on the source: this is a title-mirror listing, the official description equals the title and nothing more, so this summary can only close-read the title and must mark everything else as inference. The title's engine is the word trailer, which carries two full meanings in English, the wheeled mobile home of a trailer park, and the preview reel of a film. Read the first way, a trailer queen is a woman who reigns over a mobile-home world, and the crown is earned inside a class the title refuses to apologize for. Read the second way, the phrase points at show business, a queen made by previews, an actress whose fame lives in coming-attractions footage. Both readings chain to crown, the object of pageants and coronations, which promises either a literal contest, a pageant or a tournament of status, or a metaphorical one, a woman taking power in an arena that dismissed her. The pairing of trailer with crown is the title's stated tension, low material and high symbol pressed into one phrase, which typically signals a rise story in the underdog register. What can be said as fact: thirty episodes, complete, 1,299 views. Withheld: which reading the show takes, who wears the crown, and every event of the plot. The catalogue confirms the count; the story is the show's to supply.
