Wolf King, No More Miss Harmon Got Married
About this drama
Lily Harmon, a human girl, enters Blackwood Manor as a maid because she's desperate for money to pay for her grandmother Rose's heart surgery. Ethan Blackwood, the current Wolf King and president of the Blackwood Corporation, is struck by her resemblance to his deceased mother Eleanor on first meeting, and the arrangement that follows is pure transaction: he agrees to pay for the surgery and signs her to a five-year contract. One slip in the official copy needs flagging here. Midway it says "Cole is reunited with the man who saved her five years ago but lost his memory in a car accident," and no Cole has been introduced anywhere, so I'm reading that as the listing's own name error for Lily. The man in that line is someone she gradually realizes is Ethan himself. Meanwhile she unexpectedly reunites with her former lover Ryan at the manor, and Victor, the plot's engine, arranges for Ethan to witness Ryan and Lily being intimate, deepening the misunderstandings. Victor then secretly plots to murder the recovering Rose in the hospital and fabricates evidence to frame Ethan for it. Lily obtains the "evidence," her last bit of trust in Ethan completely collapses, and she angrily breaks off their relationship. What follows is the strangest beat in the blurb: due to the second termination of her contract, Lily's heart rapidly fails, and she dies with resentment after hearing news of her grandmother's death. Then she awakens a year later, saved by the man who had given her a loaf of bread, and Ethan embarks on a long journey to win back his wife. Sixty episodes, death and reset included.
