The Rescue I Never Had

About this drama

She exhausted herself trying to treat her husband's "hidden ailment," unaware it was all a secret bargain—he feigned impotence to bribe a doctor into concealing a deception: that he had falsely claimed to be the man who saved her life. In return, he grew disgusted with her, deeming her "tainted," and drugged her. In her darkest moment, a military commander rescued her, but revealed an even harsher truth—he was her true savior all those years ago. Facing the commander's offer of protection in the form of marriage, she chose instead to confront her past, return to her career, and rebuild her life. As the doctor's own poison scheme backfired and her ex-husband clung to her with regret, the silent protector remained, waiting. Could she finally break free from this web of misplaced love?
