The Heir's Secret

About this drama

The source for this entry is a synopsis of seven hundred sixty-seven characters in five sentences, a middle-length source with no ending stated, and three transcription facts come first: the source carries one em dash, in the hierarchy line, rendered with a comma pair in its place; one curly apostrophe, in kingdom's, is carried straight in this rendition; and one pair of curly double quotes, around True Trial Crests, is carried straight as well, all disclosed here. The source reads: the story takes place in the capital of the Kingdom of Veriel; the Duchy of Ravenwood is the kingdom's oldest and most powerful noble house, controlling the military, the treasury, and the laws of succession; outwardly elegant and respectable, it is in reality ruthless and strictly hierarchical, with all marriages, inheritances, and reputations bound by the Ducal Council and ancient laws; the Earl of Emberlyn has guarded the royal relics for generations and is responsible for casting and restoring the True Trial Crests of noble houses throughout the ages; and many years ago, the true heir to the Emberlyn title disappeared, and the adopted daughter, Serena, was groomed to be the perfect nominal heir, becoming the darling of high society. The frame is one duchy ruled from behind elegance, one earldom guarding relics and crests, and one disappearance that left a nominal heir in place of a true one, so what happened to the true heir, what Serena knows, and what the crests will be asked to prove are all unprinted, the source being setup through and through. No ending is stated. Three catalog facts frame the entry. The run is thirty-five episodes, one of three entries at that length. The registry column lists 6 against the API's thirty-five, part of this batch's systematic split between free counts and full counts, disclosed with the API figure used here. The counter reads 298 views, eighth of twenty, in the upper half. The byline is Mita9957, the third of its eight entries, and the platform marks the series completed.
