The Forgotten King

About this drama

Emma, a low‑paid dishwasher, picks up a severely injured, amnesiac man named Leon on a rainy night. Taking him for a down‑and‑out drifter, she makes him wash dishes to pay off his debt and dubs him Johnny. With no memory of his past, Leon possesses extraordinary combat skills and grows fiercely dependent on Emma. Time and again, he instinctively shields her from loan sharks and hired assassins.A premium custom watch blows Leon’s cover: he is the heir to Shadow Crown, Europe’s underground financial syndicate, codenamed The King. His uncle Victor orchestrated the car crash that robbed him of his memory to seize power, while his betrothed Isabella, consumed by jealousy, relentlessly hunts the pair. Emma stumbles upon links between her mother’s fatal car crash five years prior and the feud between the two families. Determined to uncover the truth, she travels alone to Paris, Florence and Santorini. Leon guards her every step in secret, maneuvering to take down his enemies while struggling to rebuild their fractured trust. Through brutal underground fight tournaments, culinary competitions, standoffs in ancient castles and rooftop showdowns, Victor and Isabella are finally apprehended, alongside witnesses to the old crash. The full truth of the accident comes to light. Leon renounces his immense power, honoring their old bet by becoming Emma’s personal dishwasher. The two open a late‑night diner in Brooklyn, finding their happy ending in ordinary, warm everyday life.
