The Debt Collector

About this drama

Hope Mason, a poor rural student, studied relentlessly to become the province’s top scorer in the national college entrance exam. But his victory came at a cost: His father borrowed 30,000 dollars from the village loan shark to pay for his tuition. During college, Hope hustled hard and launched a startup that rocketed him to wealth and fame. Years later, he returned home to repay his family’s sacrifices—only to find his grandfather dead by suicide, his childhood sweetheart married off to another man, and the local thugs still running the show. When he uncovered the brutal truth behind his family’s suffering, the polished entrepreneur reverted to the feral kid who survived the countryside. This time, he’s not fighting for grades—he’s settling scores.
