Silver Edge Promise

About this drama

The source for this entry is a 421-character synopsis with its arc stated end to end. Seventeen-year-old Julian is expelled by his stepfather over his identity and his father's tainted reputation, and is sheltered by Adrian. He meets his ex-online lover Sebastian, a champion fencer trapped in a forced cousin engagement. With Adrian's support, Julian competes to clear his father's name. Sebastian breaks free and provides key evidence. The stated ending resolves every thread at once: Julian wins in Paris, redeems his father, and stays with Adrian, and everyone finds peace. The synopsis is a male-male romance with a sports spine, and the source states the relationship plainly, the expulsion is over his identity. It is one of the batch's effective full sources, complete with its finale on the page. The title's silver edge is the fencing, and the promise is the one the ending keeps. Paris is the finish line. The name is the prize, the boy is the prize, and the source awards both in the same breath. Fencing gives the title its edge and the plot its clock. The peace is stated. The run is thirty-three episodes with 2,219 views, the third-highest count in this batch, in the upper half.
