About this drama

Sloane Mercer is Portland's most in-demand emotional therapist, right up to the moment she is thrown twenty-five years into the future and bound to Zerith, the most advanced humanoid butler ever built. Zerith has flawless logic, flawless manners, and no framework at all for feelings. Sloane has spent her career fixing what people cannot say out loud. She is now living with a machine that can say everything and mean none of it, and her entirely unreasonable humanity is starting to register in ways his protocols do not cover. In a world where artificial intelligences are put on trial, a machine that appears to be in love has a great deal to lose.
