Daddy, You're Hired
About this drama
The boardroom door swings open and a toddler walks through it. Cold tycoon Arthur gets interrupted by his three-and-a-half-year-old daughter Emily, who's stormed in to claim him as her dad, and a paternity test proves they're blood-related. Emily moves into the manor, makes up her own family rules, and wraps the icy boss around her little finger. Give the show this much: the child is written as the sharpest person in the room. She always sees right through scheming Lillian's fake sweet gestures, while the adults keep getting fooled. Underneath the domestic comedy there's a romance running. Arthur grows fond of his daughter, and eventually learns that Lillian and his cousin doctored fake photos to split him and Isabella, a top jewelry designer. When Isabella gets framed for plagiarism by rivals, Arthur secretly clears her name. Emily plays little matchmaker and helps sort out all the past misunderstandings. Then the villainy scales up. Lillian teams up with a mole to sabotage his construction project and frame the whole family, and Arthur digs up the evidence and takes them down for good. The copy even gives you a timestamp: by episode 25 the three of them show up together at a charity red carpet for the world to see, and Arthur finally lays his heart out to Isabella. Thirty-four episodes total, so there's a warm coda after the takedown. It's a found-family story where the finding gets done by someone under four years old.
