After My Twin Sister Died, I Became Her
About this drama
The blurb opens with five words on their own line: she didn't survive the fall. Everyone at school believed Emma jumped from the rooftop after being abandoned by her boyfriend. The school called it suicide, her classmates whispered, and, in the copy's own words, the people who destroyed her walked away untouched. Then comes the turn: but Emma had a twin sister. After finding her sister's diary, Ella discovers the truth, that Emma was bullied, betrayed, and pushed to her death. So Ella cuts her hair, puts on Emma's uniform, and returns to school as the girl everyone thought was still alive. I like how explicitly the copy stages the double reading of her return. To the students, she is Emma back from the hospital. To the girls who killed her, she is a nightmare wearing the same face. From there the show runs on infiltration logic: every smile becomes a trap, every secret becomes a weapon, and every lie begins to crack, until one by one the people who buried the truth are forced to face what they did that night. The closing lines are the thesis, same face, different sister, and this time she isn't here to survive, she's here to make them confess. Forty-one episodes. Who exactly those girls are, and how the confessions get forced out of them, the copy leaves to the episodes themselves.
